English: The Teatro Real (literally Royal Theater) or simply The Real (as it is known colloquialy), is an opera house in Madrid. It was inaugurated on 19 November 1850, with Donizetti's La Favorite.
Español: El Teatro Real es el teatro de ópera de Madrid y está considerado como uno de los más importantes de España, siendo destacable la presencia habitual de la Familia Real Española en sus representaciones. Está situado en la Plaza de Oriente, frente al Palacio Real, y es uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos de la ciudad.
