Who Dies in ‘Secret Invasion’?

Disney+’s Secret Invasion brings espionage and intrigue to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in every episode. When a show is about spies fighting off shape-shifting aliens, you never can be too sure of who’s who, who’s really alive, and who will stay dead.

That’s where this rundown comes into play! You’ve come to the place if you need help figuring out who’s dead — or, more accurately, who’s likely to stay dead. We break down the six-part limited series episode by episode and even offer predictions about the remaining cast. Of course you can’t talk about death without getting into SPOILERS, so consider yourself warned!

Who dies in Secret Invasion?

That’s the million-dollar question and, since superhero stories famously play fast and loose with mortality, it’s one we probably won’t have a definitive answer to until the Marvel Cinematic Universe shuts down for good. But I bet you’re not looking for the long term answer. You’re looking for who’s going to die and stay dead in the short term (which could become the long term). Of all the Marvel Studios TV shows we’ve watched so far, Secret Invasion is the deadliest. Three of the first four episodes have ended with a surprisingly sudden death — and only one of them has been reversed. First, let’s look at Secret Invasion’s death toll so far.

Who dies in Secret Invasion Episode 1?

Prescod (Richard Dormer) was a C.I.A. agent who discovered a Skrull plot to start World War III. He alerted Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) only to discover that Ross had been replaced with a Skrull. That Skrull killed Prescod

The Everett Ross Skrull then died from injuries he suffered while being pursued by Talos.

The Vasily Poprishchin Skrull (Uriel Emil) posed as an art/arms dealer and smuggled dirty bombs to Gravik’s agents. He was killed by Talos.

Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) was shot and killed by Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) while he was disguised as Nick Fury during the attack on Russia’s Unity Day celebration.

Who dies in Secret Invasion Episode 2?

Brogan (Ben Peel) was a new member of Gravik’s Skrull insurgency who was captured after Episode 1 and interrogated by Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman). After being rescued by Gravik, Brogan was killed when it was discovered that he gave up information to Falsworth.

Who dies in Secret Invasion Episode 3?

The Bob Fairbanks Skrull infiltrated the Royal Navy and used the human’s position as commodore to attempt to launch an attack on the United Nations. This plan was thwarted and the Bob Fairbanks Skrull was killed by Talos.

G’iah (Emilia Clarke) was shot dead by Gravik after he learned that she was leaking information to her father Talos. But, as we learn in the cold open of Episode 4, G’iah protected herself by using Gravik’s Super Skrull technology to give herself the healing properties of the Extremis virus. G’iah’s all better now.

Who dies in Secret Invasion Episode 4?

Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) is shot by one of Gravik’s agents before being stabbed by Gravik himself during the attack on President Ritson’s motorcade.

Who else will die in Secret Invasion?

We still have two episodes left and there are plenty of characters left to kill.

Will Nick Fury die in Secret Invasion? Probably not, considering that he is prominently featured in the trailer for this November’s The Marvels, and Marvel Studios has clearly stated that The Marvels takes place after Secret Invasion.

Will Talos stay dead in Secret Invasion? Possibly. Mendelsohn doesn’t appear to be attached to any forthcoming Marvel projects, so this could be it for Talos.

Will G’iah die in Secret Invasion? Probably not, considering that the show’s already killed her — or at least elicited a fan reaction from killing her. There’s not much narrative juice left to squeeze out.

Will Sonya Falsworth die in Secret Invasion? I hope not, considering Olivia Colman brings such a fresh, distinct, and entertaining energy to the MCU. Marvel Studios should want to keep her around for as long as possible.

Will Rhodey die in Secret Invasion? I guess the real question after confirmation that this Rhodey (Don Cheadle) is a Skrull is, “Will the real Rhodey be found alive?” The answer to that question is “yes,” since we know that Cheadle is starring as Rhodey in the upcoming film Armor Wars.

Will Gravik die in Secret Invasion? Almost guaranteed considering that’s the trajectory that villains usually take.

Will Priscilla die in Secret Invasion? It’s possible, if only because we know Secret Invasion has no problem killing characters in order to make Fury sad/mad. We do know we haven’t seen the last of Priscilla (Charlyane Woodard), since there’s footage from the trailers showing her in battle.

Will Everett Ross die in Secret Invasion? Or even worse: is Everett Ross already dead? We know he was impersonated by a Skrull, and we know that Skrulls have to have the original on tap (literally) in order to gain access to the memories needed to go deep undercover. That means that the Skrulls likely have Ross hooked up to a brain-sucking pod somewhere. Will he be rescued? Fingers crossed.
