Since its release in 2019, Sex Education has become a fan-favorite series from Netflix. Following the life of a socially awkward teenage boy named Otis (Asa Butterfield) who doubles as a secret sex counselor for his high school, Sex Education covers wide-ranging, often taboo topics; from sexuality to drama, to religion, trauma, and more.
Season 4 of Sex Education was released back in September of this year, marking the final installment of the hit show. Could there be a follow-up movie at some point? Our Josh Sorokach speculated: perhaps. But for now, Sex Education has reached its climax.
While the stories of Otis and the gang might be finished for the movie, there are plenty of other shows out there with a similar vibe. If you’re looking for a binge-worthy show filled with plenty of interesting characters dealing with sex, drama and social awkwardness, look no further….

‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’
This first choice is a no-brainer. If you like a show about the sex lives of high schoolers then you’ll probably also enjoy a show about the sex lives of college students, too. The Sex Lives of College Girls follows four roommates learning to navigate their new freedom at the prestigious Essex College campus. With only two seasons and 20 episodes, The Sex Lives of College Girls is a quick watch, too.

‘The End of the F***ing World’
If you really liked the accents in Sex Education and the socially awkwardness of it all, but felt it lacked a more gloomy plot line, then this next British dark comedy-drama is perfect for you.
Based on the award-winning comic book series by Charles Forsman, The End of the F…ing World follows two teenage outsiders, James (Alex Lawther) and Alyssa (Jessica Barden), who embark on a road trip across England and get caught up on a trail of violence along the way.
The big issue is, James believes he is a psychopath and decides he wants to kill a human instead of animals. Alyssa, the rebel classmate, proposes they run away together, hoping for a ticket away from her dismal home life. James agrees with the intention of finding an opportunity to kill her. Throughout their journey, the duo slowly foster an unexpected relationship.

‘Big Mouth’
Cartoons are no longer just for kids! Actually, this next one is definitely not for kids. Big Mouth is all about the wonderful stage of puberty. Written by real-life pals Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, this sitcom stars Kroll as a younger version of himself and John Mulaney as his best friend Andrew. Big Mouth is sure to satisfy your love of sex-related teen shows while also giving hilariously unexpected moments.
Seasons 7 and 8 are set to stream starting in 2023 and 2024, respectively, so start streaming now. You have over 2,000 minutes of puberty and sex jokes to catch up on.

‘Euphoria’
If you wanted more of Maeve and her family’s story in Sex Education instead of Otis’s, then Euphoria may be your new favorite show. Rue Bennett (Zendaya) is a troubled teenage drug addict who struggles to get help and figure out her place in life. The series follows a group of high school students (see a theme here) as they navigate love and friendship in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.
Euphoria — much like Sex Education — pushes things to the extreme, dealing with traumatic and shocking issues head-on. It can be a difficult watch, but worth it for incredible stories and memorable moments. Anyone who likes drama and sex (and Zendaya) will become obsessed with everything in Euphoria.

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’
Otis Milburn is about as insecure and awkward as a teenage boy can get. If you weren’t cringing at every interaction and line then maybe uncomfortable TV characters are for you! And that also means you should probably watch Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm.
It is somewhat of a universal consensus that Seinfeld is the greatest comedy of all time, but co-creator, Larry David, turned it up a notch in Curb Your Enthusiasm. The show revolves around Larry David playing himself in L.A. Anything that people think but never say out loud, Larry doesn’t filter it out. Needless to say, this creates uncomfortable moment after moment, and each one is somehow funnier than the next.
Larry is insensitive and neurotic (kind of like George Costanza) and can make even the most mundane, everyday situations totally uncomfortable and oftentimes hilarious. With 11 seasons and over 100 episodes, Curb Your Enthusiasm is sure to fulfill your cringe-watching needs.

‘Gossip Girl’ (2007)
Sometimes you just can’t beat the classic. While Gossip Girl is the oldest show on this list, first airing back in 2007, the show is still relevant today. If you loved the high school teen drama of Sex Education — and secretly wanted to be Ruby or Olivia — then you’ll love Gossip Girl.
A group of elite, rich teenagers who attend high school in the Upper East Side of New York are constantly watched and sometimes ruined by an infamous blogger, Gossip Girl. While the identity of Gossip Girl isn’t revealed until the final season, everyone has their suspicions.
This star-studded cast includes Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Penn Badgley, to name a few. Some consider Gossip Girl to be the gold standard of the popular girl crew — Serena and Blair are the best of the best. Once you’ve watched Gossip Girl then no other popular girl duo can compare.
