Even though you’re going to have to wait a little longer to finally see Dune: Part Two, LEGO gave Dune fans a treat today by revealing the company’s very first set inspired by the 2021 sci-fi adaptation.
The new Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter building kit is now available to preorder from Amazon and LEGO. It’s slated to begin shipping on or around February 1, 2024 — just a few weeks before the delayed Dune: Part Two release date of March 15, 2024.
This Dune LEGO set, geared toward adults 18 years or older, is an 1,369 piece ultra-detailed replica of the House Atreides aircraft from the movie.
The replica set comes with fold-out, flappable wings, retractable landing gears, and a cockpit that opens and can house a minifigure. It includes building instructions, and those instructions can also be accessed digitally on the LEGO Builder mobile app.
Once built, the large piece measures over 9 inches high, 22 inches long and 31 inches wide, and can be displayed in flight or landing mode.
The set also includes eight brand new minifigures inspired by characters from the movie: Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho, and Baron Harkonnen (on a unique clear stand to show off his long robe).
You can preorder the new set today for $164.99.
