Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh, who appeared in Season 16 of America’s Got Talent, has died. He was 39.

According to People, Singh’s fiancée confirmed that he passed away on Wednesday (Dec. 4).

TMZ reports the comedian had “a history of health issues” leading up to his death.

Investigators reportedly believe he passed of natural causes, but a toxicology report is being conducted to determine the cause of his death.

Singh competed on America’s Got Talent Season 16 in 2021, where he made it all the way to the semifinals with his comedy.

“The AGT family is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kabir Singh, a talented comedian who graced our stage with his undeniable humor.  He brought joy and laughter to so many and his incredible talent will be missed,” America’s Got Talent said in a statement shared with Decider.

He took his talents on the road this year with performances in Arizona and California, according to his social media profile. His Instagram bio notes that his work has also appeared on Comedy Central and Family Guy.

Singh’s friend, Jeremy Curry, mourned his passing with a post on Facebook in which he noted the late comedian “passed away peacefully in his sleep.”

“It’s My Deepest Regrets to let Everyone Know that Kabir Singh has passed away… He passed away peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I’ve posted,” Curry wrote

Comedian Gabe Lopez also paid tribute to the late comedian with a touching post on social media.

“Kabir was so much more than a friend, he was my little brother. He would make me laugh as much as he frustrated the shit out of me. He was a generational talent with a huge heart,” he wrote.

Singh is survived by his fiancée.
