What to Watch

‘Severance’

Get in, outies. We’re going back to work! It’s been nearly three years since Apple TV+‘s critically-acclaimed workplace thriller Severance aired its gripping, painfully suspenseful Season 1 finale, but at long last, it’s time to return to office. Created by Dan Erickson and directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller, Severance follows a group of Lumon Industry’s employees who’ve taken the universal quest for work-life balance to the extreme. After undergoing a procedure known as “severance” — which surgically divides their memories between work and personal lives — Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro), and Dylan (Zach Cherry) embark on an intense quest for answers. For those who have yet to watch the superb Emmy-winning series (or simply need a refresher on Season 1), now’s perfect time to catch up. The outstanding cast — which includes Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman, and Jen Tullock — returns on January 17 for the highly-anticipated Season 2 premiere, and judging by the trailer, we’re in for another wild ride that was well worth the wait.
