(London)
[Bridge]
I'm feelin' vibes on vibes
I'm a tickin' dynamite
I'll blow your candlelight
You know I'm just that type
No, dem no fit kill my vibe (No, no)
Dem no fit kill my vibe

[Verse 1]
A wise man said, "Follow the stars
There you shall find a piece of advice"
If you hate your enemies, enemies shine
If you're not a friend of me, enter the light
'Cause you can never kill my vibe
Got here with no sacrifices
Everything once takеn, still have to make it
Vibe killеr, me I no go take shit (Ayy)
[Chorus]
Vibe killer, bloody Samaritan
Protect my energy from your bad aura
Na my pastor say I be my healer
Everything I desire, I go receive
My rhythm, flow like a river
If you get yawa, come on, go and sit down
I go just para, comot my jigga
I go just dey, follow my dreams
I'm feelin' vibes on vibes (I'm feelin' vibes)
I'm a tickin' dynamite (I'm a tickin' dy—)

You know I'm just that type (That type)
No, dem no fit kill my vibe
Dem no fit kill my vibe

[Verse 2]
I see you watchin' my stories
I see you gaugin' my lifestyle
I see you watchin' my movements
This bad bitch bad every day
I no dey look your face
Badman bad everyday
Get on your knees and pray
'Til you regain your faith
[Instrumental Break]
[Chorus]
Vibe killer, bloody Samaritan
Protect my energy from your bad aura
Na my pastor say I be my healer
Everything I desire, I go receive
My rhythm, flow like a river
If you get yawa, come on, go and sit down

About
On “Bloody Samaritan,” Ayra Starr addresses people who pretend to be good to others but aren’t.
The song begins with a violin-based sound that subsequently transitions to a drum guitar beat coated with horn sounds, producing a great ambiance that creates the groundwork for Ayra Starr to communicate her emotions and the necessity to prevent negative energy towards phony people. The track has a similar atmosphere to “Fashion Killa.”
Ayra Starr dropped two videos for the track. The videos were directed by herself and show Ayra boasting to the camera. This was revealed through an article where she said:
So, I’d always wanted to direct a video, and the thing about “Bloody Samaritan” was different from my other music videos. I’ve always been very extreme as an artist, almost trying to show off. With “Bloody Samaritan”, I wanted people to see my personality and style as authentically as I could translate into video form. I wanted people to see my character. For the video, I had a tiny budget to work with, which pushed my creativity. I had to call my friends and be like please show up for me guys, just come to the video shoot and vibe with me. Like that’s what it was, just me and my friends were having fun. Very grungy, very low budget, just showing me as the teenager I am.
Ayra discusses the track further in a Naijgig article:
I love this track because I was unapologetic and assertive on it, something people my age often struggle to be, and I want my fans to feel that way when they listen to it liberated from societal standards and expectations.
Q&A
Find answers to frequently asked questions about the song and explore its deeper meaning
I’m used to very slow beats and all that. I’m just singing my heart out. But when it comes to ‘Bloody Samaritan’, it was a whole different case. I had this beat for six months and I kept begging the producer, ‘London, please don’t give it to anybody. I’m sure I can do this. I’m sure I can work on this beat.’ We know the story of the good Samaritan. Bloody Samaritan is the opposite—people that pretend to be good Samaritans, but they’re hypocrites, people that judge you and criticise you. So, it’s like, you can’t kill my vibe. I’m going to do what I want to do. I’m dangerous. Nobody should come to me with bad energy.
