Caught between awake and asleep
Not knowing which one is a dream
Will someone please show me which is reality?

Am I awake?
Am I still sleeping?
The dimly lit outline of this place
Betrays what may be keeping me
From finding truth that I so blindly seek

I wake to face each new day hoping
That with it comes discovery
Peel away the darkness from the light
The picture will reveal itself in time

It can be so overwhelming
