Storm (Demo) Lyrics

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Don't say no, don't say no, no

Hey babe, can we be broke together?
Can we make dough together?
Answer my question - don't say no no, no no, no

I wanna take you there, but are you ready?
Girl, let me tell you about my beginnings
Because there's something you should know know, know know, know

It's that no man is an island
It's that my soul feels like dryland

And I need ya to

Storm
Girl, I need ya - come and keep my body warm
I want you to - storm
I can feel you flowin' - show no signs of slowin' down

Storm
Girl I need ya to - rain, it keeps me goin'
Storm
Temperature below the norm
That's why I need ya to

Go forever
Can we hit the coast together?
Tell all the people they should know know, know know, know know

Ooh baby no, there's nothing like this weather
And baby, never mind the shelter
Because there's nowhere you can go go, go go, go

Remember that no man is an island - and that means you too
Your soul feels like dryland to me sometimes

So

Storm
Girl, I need ya - come and keep my body warm
I want you to - storm
Temperature below the norm

And girl I need ya to
Storm - storm, storm
And girl I need ya
Storm [things change, winds change]

And girl, I need ya to [storms change]
Oh rain down on me, baby [but love does not change]
Rain down - oh babe, storm
Oh, I need ya - rain, rain down on me
Storm
Girl, I need ya - come and keep my body warm
I want you to - storm
I can feel you flowin' - show no signs of slowin' down

Storm
Girl, I need ya to - rain, it keeps me goin'
Storm
Temperature below the norm

That's why I need ya to storm
Girl I need ya - come and keep my body warm
I want you to - storm
I can feel you flowin' - show no signs of slowin' down

Storm
Girl I need ya to - rain, it keeps me goin'
Storm
Temperature below the norm

That's why I need ya to warn me
Tell me a storm's coming
I put on the weather channel
I asked the weather woman

All about the storm
All about the storm
I'm all about the storm
All about the storm

About

Genius Annotation

“Storm” is a song written in 2006 by James Fauntleroy for Neo Soul/R&B singer Glenn Lewis for his unreleased album Remember Me.

Although production on the album was primarily handled by producer duo The Underdogs (whom Glenn was signed to at the time), “Storm” was produced by Missy Elliott-associate Nisan Stewart**.

The track was released as a buzz single in 2006 to critical acclaim, and despite an entire album being recorded over the course of 2006 and 2007, the project was shelved without any proper singles ever being released.

James’s demo of the track leaked online in 2008.

In 2011, artist & producer Kevin McCall uploaded a video of him singing the song on his official YouTube channel.
