This demo of ‘Fade In-Out’ was recorded by Noel during his holiday on the island of Mustique, together with Owen Morris. Johnny Depp plays the slide guitar on it, since him and his then-girlfriend Kate Moss were staying on the island, too. Owen Morris said that JD “would turn up for a listen and a cheeky drink and smoke”. His playing is also featured on the album version, as the first half of the song is one of the few parts of the Mustique sessions that can be heard on the Be Here Now record.
