Just for me Lyrics
I found the street of the house in which you stay
And my diary's full of your name on every page
'Cause I read somewhere you'll fall in love with me
I'll try and try again, one day you'll see
Your hair's under my pillow, so I sleep (So I sleep)
And I'm dreaming of you leaving roses at my feet (At my feet)
[Chorus]
I'm obsessed with you in a way I can't believe
When you wipe your tears, do you wipe them just for me? (Me, me, me, me)
Do you wipe them just for me? (Me, me, me, me)
I'm pleading on my knees (Knees, knees, knees, knees)
It's your touch that I need (Need, need, need, need)
[Verse 2]
I followed you today, I was in my car
I wanted to come and see you from afar
If you turned around and saw me, I would die
I'd pretend I was a person driving by
Wrote you a song, do you wanna hear it now? (Hear it now)
Don't bring your friends along to form a crowd (Crowd)
'Cause I need to prove I wrote it just for you (Just for you)
What's the need for them when it could be just us two? (Two, two, two, two)
(Just for you)
About
Following her viral success on TikTok, “Just for Me” is the fourth single from PinkPantheress' debut mixtape, to hell with it. With this track, PinkPantheress continues to immerse listeners in her staple nostalgic feeling, while simultaneously covering sombre topics.
Inspired by the “stalkerish” theme of Eminem’s “Stan” and the music of Craig David, “Just for Me” is written about her unhealthy obsession with a crush and is a spiritual successor to her January 2021 song, “Pain.”
Prior to being released, a snippet of the song posted to TikTok by PinkPantheress went viral on the platform.

I made this song with [UK artist and producer] Mura Masa. I was sat with him, just going through references, and he started making the loop. I’ve never said this before, but I remember being like, ‘I don’t know if I’m going to be able to write anything good to this,’ and then it just came, after 20 minutes of sitting there wondering what I could do. The line ‘When you wipe your tears, do you wipe them just for me?’ just slipped off the tongue.
Yes, there is!
PinkPantheress dropped the “Just for you” visuals as a surprise on the 10th of September 2021 on the YouTube channel PP_ROCKSXX. This is her first video, having released Audio’s and Visualisers for all of her other viral singles. The end of the video teases her debut project as the date October 15th appeared at the end.
The video plays on her love for the for 90’s and 00’s musical aesthetic with a low picture quality white-room of her and a DJ performing to a passive and unresponsive crowd.
A comment on YouTube explained:
She describes her music as “the new nostalgia”.
She posted her video from an account made to look like a fan account, which used to be the source of a lot of music content back in the early ‘00s. And the video itself is of not the greatest quality. She’s definitely gonna emphasize on '00s nostalgia leading up to that date at the end of the video, this is a part of the rollout.
In a statement given to press, she describes the song as:
A song based around unhealthy obsession and is almost a part two to “Pain”
