“Not Another Word” is Protoje’s first release since his 2018 album A Matter of Time and marks his first collab with Agent Sasco. After “Flight Plans” it’s his second song featuring Lila Iké, who is signed to his In.Digg.Nation label.
The song addresses how our modern-day society ignores social and environmental problems not minding its long-term consequences. Although the artists focus on Jamaica’s struggles, the very same problems affect our society globally too.
The song was exclusively previewed a day before the official release as the “Jam Hot” on MistaJam’s BBC1xtra radio show.

When I started writing this song I knew I wanted guests on it with me. It just felt that way. Working closely with Lila, I knew her vocal would be a perfect fit to compliment myself and Agent Sasco. Sasco is someone that I’ve always wanted to do a song with and because of his extreme lyrical ability I knew I would have to be on my A-Game. I love how the song came out and sincerely hope the message of the song is not lost.
