Trampoline Lyrics
I've been havin' dreams
Jumpin' on a trampoline
Flippin' in the air
I never land, just float there
As I'm lookin' up
Suddenly the sky erupts
Flames alight the trees, spread to fallin' leaves
Now they're right upon me
[Chorus]
Wait, if I'm on fire
How am I so deep in love?
When I dream of dyin'
I never feel so loved (So loved)
[Verse 2]
I've been havin' dreams
Splashin' in the summer stream
Trip and I fall in
I wanted it to happen
My body turns to ice
Crushin' weight of paradise
Solid block of gold, lyin' in the cold
I feel right at home
Wait, if I'm on fire
How am I so deep in love?
When I dream of dyin'
I never feel so loved
Wait, if I'm on fire
How am I so deep in love?
When I dream of dyin'
I never feel so loved
[Bridge]
I never feel so loved
La, la-la, la-la
La, la-la, la-la, la-la
La, la-la, la-la
La, la-la, la-la, la
[Chorus]
Wait, if I'm on fire
How am I so deep in love?
When I dream of dyin'
I never feel so loved
Wait, if I'm on fire
How am I so deep in love? (Deep in love)
When I dream of dyin'
I never feel so loved
About
The song is most recognizable from the Apple commercial in late October 2018 for the MacBook Air.
In an interview with Pop Dust on July 23rd, 2018, Chelsea Lee answered two questions about to “Trampoline.” She said that the band was simply trying to write a great song, and “Trampoline” was a build-up from working in a studio every day.
The idea behind the song was inspired by watching a home video of Max and Spencer Ernst (both are band members) jumping on a trampoline. They wanted to tell a story that played along with their surrounding environment outside of their home. This story was focused around the idea of the “Upside Down” (a Stranger Things reference), and they wanted the plot to be similar to Alice In Wonderland.
