The follow up to the first DIRTYNASTY$UICIDE released 1 year prior, consists of Ruby, $crim and Germ assembling once again for the dirtier nastier DIRTIERNASTIER$UICIDE.
Just like its predecessor DIRTYNASTY$UICIDE, it features rough, discordant beats accompanying the boys and Germ parading their riches and explicating even more violent imagery than the last. And of course, a more-than-repulsive-looking album art,
However, contrary to the last EP, DIRTIERNASTIER features 6 tracks compared to the previous’s 5.
The album came with merchandise which was teased on the G*59 Records twitter before its ultimate release on the 8th of March,
The merchandise was infamously not taken well by fans and critics, the designs were quickly painted as “embarrassing” and “rushed”—one of the shirts featured the album art displayed on the front,
For a few months in 2018, the two DN$ tapes were missing on Germ’s SoundCloud since the boy’s filed their music to be presented on bigger applications, U.M.G claimed the music the boy’s submitted as their songs, so copyright struck them off SoundCloud. Germ fixed the issue a few months later; tweeting,
The EP was first teased on Ruby’s snapchat on the 2nd December 2016 when he posted a video of him and $crim in the studio with the caption “DN$ 2”.
The project was not heard of again until Germ revealed on an Instagram livestream in early January 2017 that the EP will drop in “a few months”. A week later, Germ confirmed on his Twitter that the project was done after confirming a tweet asking its debut.
After the official release date and album art were revealed on $crim’s twitter in late January, it was ultimately released on the 21st February, 2017 to Germ’s SoundCloud page, while it was likewise uploaded to the $uicideboy$ accounts on all streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Deezer to name a few.
