The first UK series of popular Netflix dating show Love is Blind has just drawn to a close, leaving fans scrambling to find out whether their favourite couple has made it work off camera.

After numerous series featuring love-seeking singletons from across the globe, the long-awaited first series of Love is Blind UK proved to be a drama-filled hit.

While many prospective couples failed to find the desired spark, a handful of Britons appeared to emerge from the show with a new life partner.

But have these whirlwind relationships stood the test of time since filming ended?

Ahead of this series’ reunion episode – which is set to air on Netflix on Monday 26 August at 9pm – here’s what we know about which Love is Blind UK couples are still currently together, and which have broken up.

Which couples from Love is Blind UK are still together?

It’s safe to say the Love is Blind experiment has far from a 100 per cent success rate.

But for a few couples, it may have done the trick.

Here are the couples who got married in the Love is Blind UK series one finale.

Sabrina and Steven

Belfast-born Sabrina Egerton and Brummie-turned-Londoner Steven Smith hit it off early on and never looked back.

They were the first couple to get engaged in the pods and followed that up by becoming the first pair to tie the knot in the finale.

Each of them recently shared pictures on social media from London and Ireland, respectively, fueling speculation that they are indeed still together now – something which will no doubt be confirmed in the reunion episode, if not before.

Benaiah and Nicole

These two had a much less straightforward journey into each other’s arms, but eventually overcame a fiery love triangle to end up together and say “I do” at the end of series one.

29-year-old Nicole Stevens from Surrey hasn’t given much away on her social media, while 33-year-old Benaiah Grunewald Brydie from Preston has posted slightly more about the show but is still – as the contestants are always requested to do by producers prior to the finale and subsequent reunion airing – keeping his cards close to his chest.

But if the loved-up vibes from the finale are anything to go by, fans should expect to see the couple sat happily together on their screens on Monday.

Bobby and Jasmine

The path to true love has not run entirely smoothly for Bobby and Jasmine.

The London-based mental health nurse, 29, hit it off with both Bobby and Sam at the start of the show but doubts about the latter’s authenticity led her to spend more time with Bobby.

When Bobby, 33, opened up about the death of his cousin, Jasmine was moved by his vulnerability.

“I want to be your safe space to tell me anything that’s on your mind,” she said, “You are an outstanding guy.”

The luxury shopping guide had no doubts about his feelings for Jasmine, he said: “For me, it’s been quite apparent from the start that Jasmine was the girl for me.”

But Jasmine’s mum did throw a spanner in the works when she voiced hers, saying she though they were rushing into things.

Nonetheless, she eventually gave her blessing and the couple married.

And the couple’s comments after the wedding suggest it is a long-term commeitment.

Jasmine described it as a “forever type of love” while Bobby said it was “only the beginning of our journey”.

Which Love is Blind UK couples have broken up?

For every successful couple of the six that made it out of the pods, there was a story that ended in apparent heartbreak when the series finale aired.

Three of the couples on the show didn’t make it to the happily ever after scene on screen but you can never say never in the language of love.

Maria and Tom

From very different backgrounds, Maria and Tom tried to bridge their cultural divides to make it work.

Make-up artist Maria, 30, from a religious Moroccan community, and 38-year-old PR and advertising consultant Tom, struggled to find common ground on their roles in a marriage.

Maria said she pictured herself in a more “traditional” role, taking care of their children while Tom said he did not expect to be in a relationship with a stay-at-home mum.

In the run-up to their wedding, Maria cried in the confessional interviews and on the day Tom admitted he couldn’t go through with it.

“I love you. I just feel like right now is not the right time for me,” he said. “We’ve had some differences in values.

“I haven’t had enough time to really understand how those differences would affect our life day to day.”

Maria said she had wanted to get married but added: “I know it probably wasn’t the right time for both of us.”

Demi and Ollie

The last couple to get engaged during the show, Demi and Ollie built up slowly to their proposal.

They bonded over their London upbringings, shared love of sport and cheeky sense of humour.

And when safeguarding and attendance manager Demi, 30, shares her fears about fertility because of endometriosis, Ollie is quick to reassure here.

The 33-year-old software salesman said: “It doesn’t change anything about the way I feel about you or how I feel about our future.”

Love appears to bloom both on the couples’ ‘honeymoon’ retreat in Greece and back home in London, but when it comes to their wedding day Demi says no to the vows because her “head and here heart were not aligned”.

However, all may not be lost for this couple’s future.

Refusing to make the vows, Demi said it was only “I do not, for now” adding “honestly, the time we’ve spent, I feel like you’ve seen me, and I love you for that.”

While in interview afterwards, an optimistic Ollie said: “It’s sad, and I’m emotional, and it has been one hell of a journey, but I found true love with someone, so I’m happy.

“This is not the end of Demi and Ollie, not by a long shot.”

Catherine and Freddie

At first Catherine appears torn between Ollie and Freddie but eventually bonds with the 32-year-old funeral director over a shared love of family and twice-daily workouts.

After issues over infidelity and flirting appear to be resolved, the couple get engaged but then hit a new hurdle over finances.

Freddie said: “It worries me that if we were to get married, legally you’ll be entitled to my money… would you be offended if I was to get something in place to say that my assets would be going to say, my sister, if I were to pass away.”

This appears to be a step too far for 29-year-old dental nurse Catherine, who replied: “That sucks that you said that.

“I wouldn’t expect anything.

“If you don’t want to get married, just tell me.”

When it comes to the final moment to exchange vows, Catherine nervously said ‘I do’ but Freddie backed out, saying: “I love you Cat, but the timing might not be right for us.”

However, he hasn’t written the relationship off completely, saying later: “I want her in my life, and I’m hoping the things we do need to work on are things we can overcome and that will make us stronger.”
