From 8 February to 8 March 2025, Wikimedia Armenia and Laki Online Academy are jointly organizing the “Sweet Wiki” edit-a-thon. The edit-a-thon will last a month and the results will be announced at the end of March.
Starting from 10 February students from Brusov State University are doing their internships at the Wikimedia Armenia office. The students are seniors from the Faculty of Translation and Intercultural Communication and the Faculty of Russian and Foreign Languages.
In the first stage of the internship, students will register on Wikipedia, and get acquainted with Wikipedia's history, its five pillars, and basic rules of editing and creating articles on Wikipedia.
From 5 February to 21 March, the students from the Armenian History and Social Sciences, Armenian Language and Literature, and Foreign Languages Departments of the Humanities Faculty of the YSU Ijevan Branch started their internships at Wikimedia Armenia. Throughout the internship, they will translate articles from English, French, and Russian Wikipedias, and create and improve articles using Armenian printed sources.
