The children of a man murdered in 1987 said yesterday they’re certain the two men convicted of the crime are the true killers.
“These guys are guilty as sin,” said Wanda Rivera-Moore, 36, the daughter of José Rivera, who was stabbed and beaten to death.
Ruben Montalvo and José Morales were convicted of the Rivera slaying and are serving 15-year sentences.
Yesterday, Rivera-Moore and her brother, José Rivera Jr., tried to visit the Rev. Joseph Towle, who insists they are not guilty.
“I’d like to sit down with the father and ask why he waited so many years,” José Jr. said.
