FROM LITTLE ACORNS, RADICAL NUTS GROW

THE ISSUE:Barack Obama‘s ties to the controversial activist group ACORN.

Your headline says it all (“Vote-Fraud-A-Go-Go,” Editorial, Oct. 9).

What would ACORN be able to pull off with a friend in the White House or with a Supreme Court packed with liberal judges?

Maybe we should elect Barack Obama – in the short term, it would be disastrous, but in the long term, it would be a great educational experience for America.

ACORN for years pushed for banks to be forced to give mortgages to folks who couldn’t afford them.

After being involved in multiple voter-fraud scandals in years past, ACORN is now embroiled again in similar scandals in Nevada, Indiana, Ohio and several other states.

Over the years, Obama has exercised poor judgment by choosing to have close ties to ACORN. This all shows that ACORN is an apt name, because voting for Obama is nuts.

As I recall, the phrase “vote early and vote often” originated from a Chicago politician.

Let’s face it, campaigns to register voters, such as MTV’s “Rock the Vote,” mean one thing: Vote Democratic.

It’s a miracle that the Republicans even stand a chance.

The Democratic voter-fraud machine ACORN essentially has voided my vote and the votes of every other American who votes legally and according to the rules.

This is a national disgrace, and we should all bow our heads in shame as we watch this full frontal assault on our democracy.

A dishonest democracy is no democracy at all.

ACORN-style voter fraud is getting so rampant that a general would be within his rights, under his oath to protect the United States, to suspend democracy, impose martial law and stay in power long enough to clean up the voter-registration mess and restore honest, fair elections.

Computerized voting with touch screens and voter registration tying in Social Security numbers with digitized thumbprints or retinal scans would be a way to begin the reform.

America has 19th- century election standards that make it a world-class laughingstock.

Why do we allow a homegrown terrorist group like this take part in the electoral process?

I have no problem with any organization getting out the vote, and I believe it is the right of all Americans to vote for whom they want.

But it is not ACORN’s right to steal the election from the people in order to make its candidate win.

If Obama wins fairly, that’s fine. But I am not looking forward to another Florida incident in this election.

It’s amazing that in an election as important as this, there aren’t more precautions being taken with voting procedures.

More than 30 states are allowing early voting, and, in some states, the regulations seem too lenient.

Absentee voting is great for people who are ill or residents who won’t be able to vote in his state on election day. But now just about anyone can cast his vote early before even hearing everything both candidates have to say.

Didn’t we learn anything from the election of 2000, when we had to wait and see who our next president was because of a recount?

What are these states going to do if they figure out that there were illegal votes cast?

Does this countrywide voter fraud mean that Sen. Hillary Clinton could have been nominated?
