Legendary “King of Pop” Michael Jackson reportedly died today from cardiac arrest.
Jackson, 50, was taken to UCLA Medical Center by LA Fire Department paramedics after getting a call at Jackson’s home around 12:26 p.m. local time.
He was not breathing when they arrived, TMZ.com reported on its Web site.
Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, said he had been alerted to the emergency but didn’t have any additional details.
“I am in Las Vegas, but yes, people in Los Angeles called me and are with Michael and tell me he was taken to the hospital,” the elder Jackson told E! News.
“His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him. I am not sure what’s wrong. I am waiting to hear back from them.”
