Bushwick’s newest bar serves up BBQ and boobs

The newest bar in Bushwick is the neighborhood’s most, er, titillating place to drink.

The Boobie Trap opened last weekend as a cheeky shrine to all things boobs: The walls are decorated with busts, boob-covered bathmats hang from the bathroom ceiling and the beer taps jut out of a lady mannequin torso. The rest of the corner bar is a twisted punk rock playroom, with vintage toys lining the bar, roller skates hanging by the windows and game boards for Scrabble and Candy Land built into tables, where patrons were attacking “Color My Boobs” sheets with crayons Tuesday.

“It looks like the inside of my brain,” says owner Kristen North, 32, who previously was a bartender at the Knitting Factory.

Behind the menu — a selection of BBQ grub including smoked meats, seitan and mac and cheese — you’ll find covers from ’80s-era Playboys, too.

Expect rowdiness here. North says she makes her employees shotgun a beer to start every shift. And for anyone who thinks the whole vibe is a bust, she’s got a message: a big pink neon sign behind the bar spells out:

“F - - k off.”
