Jameis Winston took supporting his teammates one step too far.
The suspended quarterback wore his entire uniform — helmet, shoulder pads and all — before top-ranked Florida State’s game against Clemson on Saturday night.
Winston came out with the rest of the Seminoles and even warmed up before the game against the No. 22 Tigers.
When coach Jimbo Fisher saw Winston, he sent his star quarterback back into the locker room to change — but not before television cameras caught the coach’s exasperated reaction.
Winston, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, initially was suspended for the first half after a profane and sexually explicit outburst in the student union on the Florida State campus in Tallahassee on Tuesday. Florida State, however, announced Friday night the suspension would be for the entire game because, ESPN reported, Winston was not entirely truthful or forthcoming regarding Tuesday’s incident.
