Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has piled up his fair share of victories. His most impressive win may have come on Tuesday’s episode of “Celebrity Jeopardy!”, claiming $50,000 for his charity and getting straight-laced host Alex Trebek to do the Discount Double Check.
Rodgers competed against an astronaut (Mark Kelly, also known as Gabby Giffords’ husband) and a CEO (“Shark Tank” entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary).
The two-time NFL MVP was strong in the Bible MVP category, and led off with the No. 12 category – that’s his uniform number.
And though Rodgers misfired on the last question, he tallied a winning total of $8,399, and earned a $50,000 donation to the MACC Fund.
When Trebek asked Rodgers about his customary Discount Double Check celebration, the quarterback responded that the host should celebrate after having a good show. Trebek did his best imitation of the Discount Double Check, which was a comedic high note.
Almost as funny was watching Rodgers’ reaction to confusing IBM and Apple in one Daily Double answer. Forgetting he wasn’t on the football field, he muttered a barely-audible F-bomb.
