An 80-year-old Queens woman identified her mugger before dying of her injuries, police sources said Thursday.
Celica Londono named ex-con Jordan Vecchio, 32, as the man who shoved her to the ground and used a boxcutter to hack her purse free as she walked with her 92-year-old aunt in Jackson Heights at around 4:40 p.m. Saturday. Londono ID’d him before dying at Elmhurst Hospital Wednesday.
Remorseless after his arrest, Vecchio told cops, “I only took her purse. Nobody cares about her age. I’ll max out my parole and come out better and stronger. I wish she got hurt,” sources said.
He is charged with robbery and assault, though more charges could be added.
