A man was shot in the shoulder during an early morning fight on the Lower East Side Tuesday, authorities said.
The 31-year-old victim was standing next to his car near the corner of Essex and Hester streets when the shots were fired, possibly from another vehicle, around 4:30 a.m.
The shooter’s car fled the scene and the injured man got into his vehicle and drove to New York Presbyterian, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation, police said.
