The Yankees traded catcher Erik Kratz, who spent a good portion of the second half of last season with them before spending this season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, to Milwaukee in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations.
They also signed catcher Wilkin Castillo and assigned him to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Castillo had been with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League, but was in the Yankees’ minor league system in 2017.
Adam Lind, who had two homers and an OPS of .715 with SWB, was released.
