The scene of former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky’s heinous child sex abuse scandal is at the center of another investigation — though this time a student is allegedly attached to the crimes.
Penn State police are investigating an allegation that an unidentified but “known student…inappropriately touched other students” multiple times at the on-campus Lasch building, home to the school’s football team, according to a university-issued alert sent to students.
“Timely warning” memos are typically sent out in the midst of sexual or indecent assault allegations reported on campus, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The alleged assaults are said to have occurred between Jan. 6, 2018 and April 11, 2019, and were reported by a third party, according to the report.
Sandusky, the 75-year-old pedophile, is currently serving a 30- to 60-year sentence for molesting young boys, but is expected to receive a re-sentencing following a February ruling.
