Dwayne Haskins officially joins Odell Beckham’s Giants revenge tour

A brief text was waiting for Dwayne Haskins shortly after he became a member of the Washington Redskins.

Show em why,” it read, according to Sports Illustrated.

“Em” seemingly refers to the Giants, who ostracized both the sender, Odell Beckham Jr., and the recipient, Haskins.

For a while, there was a chance the two could suit up in blue together, but the Giants evaporated that scenario by trading stud wideout Beckham to the Browns this offseason and shunning former Ohio State quarterback Haskins during the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.

The Giants shockingly selected Daniel Jones No. 6 overall to be their hopeful Eli Manning heir, a move ridiculed by many given the Duke quarterback’s relatively low draft grade and an attractive crop of defenders still on the board with the sixth pick. Even Haskins, widely considered the second best quarterback behind top pick Kyler Murray in this year’s underwhelming class, laughed off the pick at his draft party.

The New Jersey native instead fell to 15th, where he was scooped up by the also quarterback-needy Redskins.

I’m more motivated now than ever,” Haskins told ESPN on Thursday. “There’s a bigger chip on my shoulder. The league done messed up.”

Just like that, Beckham has another member to join his Big Blue revenge tour.
