A New Jersey man was reportedly arrested for leaving his 3-year-old son in a hot car while he spent three hours inside a sports bar early Saturday.
Atlantic City resident Brandon Morgan, 32, was inside Chickie’s & Pete’s in Egg Harbor Township when good Samaritans noticed his son was alone in the car at about 1:30 a.m., according to NJ.com.
The passers-by rescued the child, who wasn’t injured, before cops arrived, the report said.
Once police showed up, they charged Morgan with child endangerment.
The father was issued a summons and released.
Authorities said it was about 85 degrees when the child was rescued.
The child was placed in the custody of his mother.
