There are social media mistakes. Then there’s this.
Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. turned into a living “you’re not you when you’re hungry meme” when he accidentally leaked his boss Adam Silver’s personal cell phone number on Snapchat in a snap captioned “Lunch yet?”
The snap was a photo of a slide presentation with what appeared to be Silver on stage speaking to a group of NBA players. It captured a slide with the league commissioner’s email address, office phone number and even his cell phone number as well all clearly visible. And it was proof you shouldn’t operate on an empty stomach.
Porter promptly deleted the photo, but by then it had already made the rounds and been captured in screenshots all around the sports world.
It’s uncertain whether the cell number shown was actually Silver’s; it went straight into a voicemail when called. But if it was, it probably won’t be for long. And Porter will probably be getting to meet the commissioner long before he ever plays a game in the NBA — he missed his entire rookie season after undergoing back surgery.
