Canadian sportscaster Dan O’Toole announced that his 1-month-old daughter Oakland is safe hours after revealing she had gone missing Thursday night.
“My baby Oakland has been found and is said to be safe,” he wrote on Twitter. “Police informed me at 12:07am. I still have not seen Oakland or held her. To those that have decided to attack me for fearing for my daughters safety, I don’t know what to say.”
The good news came after O’Toole, 44, a former Fox Sports personality and current TSN host, posted a photo of Oakland with a plea later Thursday evening.
“My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you. That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you,” he wrote on Instagram. “That however [sic] has you, let’s you come back into my arms. I love you Oakland. I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken.
“To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one month old child, and I don’t know where she is.”
He later asserted his “amazing ex wife Corrie has nothing to do with this. Please leave her alone.” Comments on the initial Instagram post were later turned off.

Despite Oakland being found safe, the experience clearly hurt O’Toole.
“To those that decided to bash me during this ordeal, tell me this: have you ever looked in the eyes of your kids, and not been able to tell them where their sister is or when they will see her again?” he wrote. “We are still broken. We may never be fixed again.”
O’Toole, who has two other daughters, welcomed Oakland into the family at the end of May.
