Three injured in afternoon shooting just outside NYC subway station
Three people were shot just outside a Bronx subway station Monday afternoon, police said.
The gunshots rang out around 3:25 p.m. on street level at the B and D subway station at East 170th Street and Grand Concourse, officials said.
A 16-year-old was shot in the left leg, a 22-year-old was shot in the left shoulder and a 23-year-old was shot in the right leg. The 22-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and the other two victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, cops said. They were all expected to survive.
Police found shell casings inside the station, police sources said. They males were arguing with two other guys when one of the duo pulled out a gun and started shooting.
The NYPD had no reports of an argument, a spokesman said. Early reports were that the shooting happened inside the station.
The shooter is on the run and was wearing blue jeans and brown work boots, according to the NYPD.
