The Issue: The Democrats’ attempt to impeach President Trump again over the Capitol Hill riots.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi is not fit for office. Blind hatred has cost her sanity and is hurting the country (“Reading Don The ‘Riot’ Act,” Jan. 12).

She is Ahab to President Trump’s Moby Dick and no longer cares (if she ever did) if she sinks the ship.

The hysterics surrounding the Capitol breach were nowhere on anyone’s lips for the terrible long months during 2020 while our country was looted, burned and terrorized by violent “activists” egged on by their leaders and even some public figures.

If Trump’s utterances are going to be micro-analyzed for incitement, the same standard should be applied to the activist leaders, politicians and media personalities, one standard for all.

Hey, Democrats, you say you want unity and healing? Then act like you do, and stop punishing this country because Trump got elected in 2016.

To push a second impeachment of Trump shows how hateful the Democrats are.

Even if they succeed, do not they realize there will be a thousand more Trumps out there? They have ignited the fire and are fanning the flames.

So after four years of harassing the president, Pelosi wants to impeach him again with only eight days left in his presidency.

This could have been one of the greatest Houses of all time if Democrats had worked with the president to get things done instead of trying to get him out of office for the last four years.

We all know what this is about. They are still so afraid of him and the 74 million people who voted for him that this is about stopping him from running again in 2024.

They are blaming him for the violence at the Capitol but never said a word about the mayors of Portland and Seattle and the violence done to police stations and federal buildings.

President-elect Joe Biden needs to step in and stop this now.

I’m glad that useless, bitter, partisan hack Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats have nothing better to do with their time than waste everybody’s money on impeaching a president who will be gone days from now anyway.

It’s not as if there is a pandemic or economic crisis that they could better focus their time and attention on.

Maybe they can impeach Warren G. Harding after they’re done with Trump.

Pelosi and her Democratic cohorts are at it again. They want to impeach Trump, knowing that it will not pass the Senate, for causing an insurrection on the United States.

Just as was their first attempt to impeach Trump, this charge is a lot of hogwash. I did not hear any exhortation by Trump to go to the Capitol and invade and ransack the building. Instead, he said they should go and protest peacefully, which is their constitutional right.

And the majority did just that, with the exception of a group of far-right activists. Trump, and a majority of conservatives, condemned these people and their actions.

With very little time left in his term, if Democrats really want to turn down the temperature and unify the country, they should back off any attempt to impeach Trump yet again.

Pelosi’s past actions, as well as her newest push to remove Trump, her remarks to Gen. Mark Milley and her claim that rioters chose their whiteness over democracy are the actions of someone trying to exploit an ugly situation and polarize us for her own benefit. The pot is calling the kettle white.

The Democrats won control of the White House and both chambers of Congress. Whatever they do or say will be fully praised and backed by the fake media.

Yet they still want to waste time and money to impeach Trump, who only has a few days left in office? He can go about his business. Move along.
