President Biden will participate in a town hall in Wisconsin next week on CNN, the first since he entered the White House three weeks ago.
The “Presidential Town Hall with Joe Biden” will be broadcast live from the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, the cable network announced.
Anchor Anderson Cooper will serve as moderator at the town hall, which CNN said is by invitation only.
The audience will remain socially distanced and follow guidelines and regulations established by Wisconsin to ensure a safe event.
CNN said the president will take questions on a number of issues, including the administration’s effort to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
Since becoming president, Biden has given interviews to CBS News and People magazine.
The White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on whether the president would take part in town hall-format meetings with other networks and cable outlets.
