NYPD rescues injured hawk stranded on Manhattan highway

Cops rescued an injured hawk that was stranded on the side of a Manhattan highway Tuesday morning — and named it “Lucky,” police said.

Motorists reported that the raptor was down at the 95th Street entrance of the Henry Hudson Parkway at around 8:30 a.m., causing drivers to swerve, an NYPD spokesman said.

The cops showed up soon after safely collect rescue the majestic bird.

Police can be seen in photos approaching the bird with a wire cage.

The spokesman said the animal would be taken somewhere it could receive medical care.
