Three people were hurt in an early morning fire at a Bronx apartment building, the FDNY said.
It took 78 firefighters to put out the flames which broke out just before 5 a.m. at 100 Erskine Place, officials said.
The victims were taken to Jacobi Hospital. There was no immediate information on their condition.
The fire apparently started in an apartment on the seventh floor that was so heavily cluttered, it hampered firefighters’ efforts to stop the blaze. They got it under control at 5:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Firefighters also responded to a three-alarm fire at a two-story, occupied building in Brooklyn earlier Saturday morning.
The fire was reported at 1919 Church Avenue around 2:30 am and was under control by 5:30 am, FDNY said. There were no injuries.
