Madonna reveals five household rules her children must follow

Madonna is laying down the law in her house.

In a post included in her Instagram Stories on Sunday, the “Like a Virgin” singer held up a sign that listed five of her “House Rules.”

The No. 1 direction on the chalkboard list was to “Smile,” followed by “Be Happy,” “Listen to others” and “Speak kindness.”

The last rule on the 64-year-old’s list instructed, “Be happy with what you have.”

Madonna is mother to six children: Lourdes Leon, 26, Rocco Ritchie, 22, David Banda Ciccone, 17, Mercy James Ciccone, 17, and twins Stella and Estere Ciccone, 10.

The social media post comes after her January interview with Vanity Fair, in which she admitted that she was “struggling to understand how to be a mother” of six.

The interview was published in the Italian, French and Spanish issues of the magazine.

“Growing up with a mother like me is a challenge,” the Queen of Pop admitted at the time.

“No one gives you a manual. You have to learn from your mistakes. It is a profession that requires a lot of time. And it is exhausting because there is never rest,” she explained.

The singer noted, however, that each of her children has a lot of “authentic” creativity.

“What makes me happiest is seeing how each of them has discovered their own creativity, and that it comes from an authentic place,” she said during the interview.

Over the past few months, Madonna has also made headlines for changes in her appearance.

Fans first seemed to notice that her face was looking a bit different while she presented a speech at the 2023 Grammy Awards to introduce singer Sam Smith’s performance of “Unholy” with Kim Petras.

Many pointed out that her face was looking “unrecognizable,” as she looked like she had noticeably bigger lips.

She addressed the critics shortly after the awards on Instagram, writing, “Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny That permeates the world we live in A world that refuses to celebrate women pass the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous.”

Two weeks later, she showed off another pic of her face on Twitter, writing that her swelling had gone down from surgery and that she was looking “cute.”

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that she is dating boxer Josh Popper, a 29-year-old trainer at Flatiron District gym Bredwinners, where he was reportedly training one of her children.
