The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 27 in Kansas City.
The Jets will head to town with six picks, including No. 13 overall, while the Giants have 10, beginning with No. 25.
The Post’s Paul Schwartz and Brian Costello look at what the two teams may do with their selections when it comes to edge rushers:
What Giants might do at edge rusher in 2023 NFL Draft
The Giants targeted this position last year and came away with Kayvon Thibodeaux with the No. 5 overall pick.
The numbers (four sacks, 13 quarterback hits) were not all-world, but Thibodeaux showed he is a high-motor, sideline-to-sideline defender and a keeper.
The pairing with Azeez Ojulari never really materialized because Ojulari (10 missed games) could not stay healthy.
There is not much on the bench.
Can Elerson Smith get on the field? Expect the Giants to address this position.

Isaiah Foskey broke Justin Tuck’s sack record at Notre Dame and would be a solid addition.
Andre Carter (Army) is 6-foot-6 ¹/₂ and an intriguing prospect and Byron Young (Tennessee) has legit pass rush potential. B.J. Ojulari of LSU — yes, the younger brother of Azeez — is a Day 2 selection, probably not a great spot for the Giants to arrange for a family reunion.

What Jets might do at edge rusher in 2023 NFL Draft
This is not a priority position for the Jets, but Robert Saleh can never have enough pass rushers, so you can’t discount the Jets taking one in the draft next week.
Carl Lawson is going to stick around for this year but could be gone in 2024. They just took Jermaine Johnson in last year’s draft and he should have a much bigger role this year.
I could see Joe Douglas taking an edge rusher on Day 3 if there is one they really like.
