Zaire Allen busted in shooting death of NYC man during attempted robbery: cops

A gunman was busted this week in connection to the March shooting death of a man during an attempted robbery in Harlem, cops said.

Zaire Allen, 19, was extradited from Baltimore on Wednesday and charged with murder in the 9 p.m. March 26 slaying of Alonza Georgia, 24, inside a building within NYCHA’s St. Nicholas Houses on West 131st Street near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, police said.

Georgia — who lived in the building — was blasted in the torso during a stickup and was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

It’s unclear what the suspect was allegedly looking to steal.

Police initially said two masked men ran from the scene after the deadly shooting, but on Thursday morning had no details about a second suspect being sought.

Allen, who was also charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, has no prior arrests, police said.

He was ordered held without bail during his arraignment in Manhattan criminal court, records show.
