UK fashion journalist Sarajane Hoare is listing a $1.25M UES pad

British fashion journalist Sarajane Hoare — a legendary industry veteran and author of “Talking Fashion is listing her one-bedroom Upper East Side home for $1.25 million, down from $1.59 million last year.

Hoare bought the co-op — in a classic boutique prewar building at 59 E. 75th St. between Park and Madison avenues — for $1 million in 2007, according to property records.

The fourth-floor home, at 715 square feet, is one of eight units in the five-story elevator building.

Design details include hardwood floors, high ceilings, large windows, a woodburning fireplace and a private terrace overlooking gardens and the back of the Carlyle hotel.

“If you land late, and you haven’t any food in your fridge, you can grab some French fries and a glass of wine at the Carlyle,” quipped Hoare, whose primary residence is in London. “I’m very English and I really wanted a home away from home that felt more like London or Europe, and I found it. You don’t want your whole life to be like a concrete jungle. Looking at too much brick is unhealthy.”

Hoare — also known for her work at Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Vanity Fair with famed photographers like Herb Ritts and Patrick Demarchelier — often worked from home, and famous faces such as Emma Watson often trekked through the apartment to try on outfits.

“The Lenox Hill home,” Hoare said, “has a nice, easy vibe. It’s flooded with light, and very airy, without clutter — all in a very special, low-key building.”

Erin Boisson Aries and Dustin Crouse of Douglas Elliman have the listing.
