Odell Beckham Jr. makes Ravens debut at minicamp 16 months after ACL tear

Odell Beckham Jr. is officially back on the football field.

The wide receiver returned to the field for the first time in 16 months after tearing his ACL, making his Ravens debut at mandatory minicamp.

Beckham, 30, sat out for all last season before signing a one-year, $15 million contract with Baltimore in April.

The three-time Pro Bowler says he’s feeling good and is happy to be back in action following the extended layoff, especially since he had not participated in any of the voluntary offseason workouts leading up to Tuesday’s workout.

“It feels good to be able to get out of bed and not feel pain,” Beckham said, according to ESPN. “It feels good to feel like if I need to take off running right now, I can take off running.

“It has been a long journey this time around.”

The 2014 first-round pick of the Giants showed no limitations during his first day of camp, and head coach John Harbaugh said Beckham is a “full go.”

“I love the guy. He’s a pro. He’s what you would expect from a world-class athlete,” Harbaugh said on Tuesday, according to CBS. “He’s a highly competitive guy.

“He wants to play at the highest level on only the highest level; he’s not interested in not playing and performing at the very highest level.”

Beckham last played with the Los Angeles Rams and won Super Bowl LVI, but injured his knee during the victory over the Bengals.

Now with his new team, Beckham’s main focus is on staying healthy and learning the new system.

But Beckham should at least have some familiarity with the offense, particularly with offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

The two worked together in Cleveland in 2019 –– the last 1,000-yard season Beckham posted.
