It’s time for the Jets to turn the page.
Aaron Rodgers’ season is over. It’s on to Zach Wilson.
The team is 1-0 and go to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.
With an elite defense, there’s no reason to be doom and gloom with the Jets right now.
If Wilson finds a way to be mistake-free, the Jets are still a contender for a playoff spot.
Making the Super Bowl may be a pipe dream now, but you never know in the NFL.
To preview Jets-Cowboys Sunday, we bring you a new episode of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast with Brian Costello and me.
Gang’s All Here Podcast with Jake Brown & Brian Costello:
- MOVING ON FROM RODGERS: Time to move on. Rodgers posted to Instagram and it sure seems he will at least try and come back next season. Jets did not bring a QB in this week. It’s Zach’s team now and he will get some time here, barring an injury, to lead this offense.
- JETS OFFENSE/DEFENSE: Jets have a ton of defensive lineman. Carl Lawson will be back this week. Outside of Rodgers, Jets escaped Week 1 pretty healthy. They will ease Dalvin Cook and Breece Hall in as weeks go on. Jets have to get tight ends involved more on offense. Zach has not had a ton of success, especially getting it to them.
- JETS-COWBOYS PREVIEW: Jets have to get the run game going and make things simple for Wilson. They have to get rid of the ball quickly and dominate the run. Micah Parsons and the Cowboys defense will be coming after Zach. They just put a beatdown on the Giants. This will be a tough test for the Jets. Coz and I are both picking the Cowboys by double digits.
