Josh Giddey’s alleged underage encounter only lasted one night: report

NBA star Josh Giddey’s alleged encounter with an underage girl happened two years ago and they only spent one night together, according to a new report.

The Thunder guard, 21, is claimed to have believed the California teen he was pictured shirtless alongside in pics leaked on social media was 19 when they met at a nightclub in 2021, according to sources who spoke to Australian site Code Sports.

The Post has identified the Oklahoma City club featured in the video and it has a policy of admitting people over the age of 18.

After realizing the girl was under 18 the next day, Giddey is said to have broken off the relationship, according to the sources who spoke Code Sports.

The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16, while the age of consent in California is 18.

He has not commented on the allegations since they were made nor has he confirmed having a relationship with the girl in question.

In videos leaked online, Giddey addresses the camera talking to an unknown person and says: “What’s up my man? We’re at the front of the club, me and my girl, about to head back to mine.”

The Post has seen evidence that appears to confirm the girl in the pictures is still a high school student who would have been under 18 years of age in 2021. She has not been publicly identified and has not spoken publicly since the alleged relationship was exposed last week.

Reps for Giddey declined to comment when contacted on Friday. However, he remains under investigation by the Newport Beach Police Department in California and the NBA over allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

Adding to the mystery, Newport Beach police reports obtained by The Post show he was pulled over in the neighborhood twice in two days in 2022.

Reports obtained by The Post show Giddey was pulled over on July 17 and July 21 and ticketed for failure to display two license plates on his vehicle and “Failure to posses a transponder on vehicle or pay by plate payment.”

His reps did not respond when asked what he was doing in Newport Beach at the time, but he played in a game against the Golden State Warriors on July 15 in Las Vegas.
