Kayla Nicole is opening up about her Jalen Hurts post that sent social media ablaze.
During a recent appearance on the “Behind the Likes” podcast, the model and influencer — who previously dated Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — elaborated on her “fly eagles fly” message she posted on X in November that was in response to a video of the Eagles quarterback sitting courtside at an NBA game, which drew plenty of eyeballs on the platform.
“Everyone has eyes. I got in so much trouble for that,” Kayla said, “but that is my personality. If you know me, my intentions are pure and also, I’m a girls’ girl, he has a girlfriend. I have no intention of trying to slide in there.”
Hurts, 25, and girlfriend Bryonna “Bry” Burrows” have been dating on and off since their time together at the University of Alabama, according to reports.
This past October, the couple made a rare red carpet appearance at the Time 100 Next Gala in New York.
As the conversation continued on the podcast, Kayla was asked if she would date another athlete following her five-year, on-and-off romance with Kelce, who is currently seeing Taylor Swift.
“I’ll never say never, but I fully, wholeheartedly believe that I am out of the athlete stage. I would love to just date someone that — I do think that I am attracted to men in positions of power and I also think that those types of men are attracted to me, so I would love to date an executive of a record label or a movie producer so that we can go to the sporting events. Let date night be courtside at the Lakers game, that’s my kind of guy,” Kayla said.
“I don’t really need to go to any more sporting events because I have a jersey on with someone’s name on the back — I did that, it was fun, I’m good.”
Kayla supported the Chiefs on game days during her relationship with Kelce — which spanned from 2017-22 — and would often take in the action with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Swift has attended 11 of Kelce’s games this season, including Sunday’s divisional-round win over the Bills in Buffalo.
The Chiefs will next face the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday in the AFC Championship game.
It remains to be seen if Swift, who resumes her blockbuster Eras Tour in Tokyo on Feb. 7, will be in attendance.
