Maniac Jeep driver runs over 25 seagulls on Washington state beach in shocking ‘massacre’

A maniac behind the wheel of a Jeep plowed through more than two dozen seagulls as he drove on a Washington state beach to the horror of locals who witnessed the “massacre.”

The unidentified man fatally mowed down a flock of 25 birds – and even got one feathery casualty stuck to the grill of his Jeep Cherokee – on sand south of Klipsan Beach just outside of Long Beach at around 8 p.m. Saturday, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife said.

The same Jeep nearly struck two people walking their dogs on the beach, officials said.

Bystanders tried to save a few birds that weren’t instantly killed but failed.

But witnesses were able to briefly stop the driver and snap photos of him, his car, and his license plate wildlife officials said.

The agency has identified the driver using the images and is attempting to reach the man who lives out of state.

One witness, Kim Ledyard McGee, said the Jeep was going at an “extremely high rate of speed” when it drove over the seagulls

The driver kept driving back and forth past her and her husband before they flung their beater truck sideways in a bid to get him to stop, she wrote in a Facebook post.

“After we reamed him out, he still took off at a high speed,” she added.

Local resident Dorothy Howard, who lives near the beach, called the driving rampage a “massacre.”

“You see a lot of natural deaths, things washed up,” she told KPTV. “But, this was just so intentional. It’s horrible. We were in shock.”

Howard said when she and others called police, the alleged bird-killer fled.

“It didn’t seem he had any remorse for what he did,” Howard said. “He was just deadpan.”
