Millie Bobby Brown shares behind-the-scene snaps of final season of ‘Stranger Things’
It’s all upside down.
On Monday, “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown shared behind-the-scenes photos teasing the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix sci-fi show.
Brown posted the images to her Instagram, captioning them “11 in 5,” referring to her character Eleven and the fact that it’s Season 5.
One image is a selfie of Brown, 20, looking at the camera with safety goggles on, a bandana around her neck, and fake blood dripping from her nose.
Another photo shows Brown’s dog, Winnie, on set, while a third pic shows snake-like creatures (or vines) creeping across a ceiling as a crew member stands above, holding an umbrella and smiling.
Another snap shows her name labeled on a piece of production equipment as “Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi,” referring to the fact that this is Brown’s first season filming the show as a married woman.
The “Enola Holmes” star tied the knot with rock star Jon Bongiovi’s son, Jake Bongiovi, 22, in May.
Matthew Modine, Brown’s onscreen “Stranger Things” one-time “father,” officiated her secret nuptials.
Set in the 1980s, the series follows a group of misfit friends, including Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Steve (Joe Keery), Robin (Maya Hawke), former police Chief Hopper (David Harbour) and perpetually frazzled mom Joyce (Winona Ryder) as they deal with supernatural threats from an alternate dimension called the Upside Down.
Season 4 ended with Max in a coma. It also revealed that Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) was the ultimate villain.
“If you thought last season was nuts, this season is just out of control, wild — like, it’s bonkers. It really, really is,” Campbell Bower said in a June interview with iHeart’s “I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario” podcast.
“It’s bigger. It’s just completely insane,” he added.
For her part, in a recent interview with Variety, Sink revealed that even though Max is in a coma, “They love having me run.”
“She’s going to play a part in the season,” series co-creator Matt Duffer told the outlet, adding that he didn’t want to reveal “how that’s possible” since Max is in a coma.
“We did film a scene the other day with her that was just absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t know how she hits those notes,” he said of Sink’s acting.
In an interview with Podcrushed, Maya Hawke revealed that the eight episodes in the final season will feel like “eight movies.”
“Our showrunners, Matt and Ross [Duffer], take a lot of responsibility,” she said.
“They have an amazing team of writers, but they’re very involved. They write a lot and they are very intense and serious about the quality of the continued writing, and so it takes a long time to write each season, and a long time to shoot them.”
In June, Netflix shared another look at Season 5, with a behind-the-scenes video showing some sets and the Hawkins pals.
“I started when I was 10, I’m now turning 20 years old,” Brown said in that video. “Feels very weird.”
A premiere date for “Stranger Things” Season 5 has not been announced.
