Syracuse football reporter accuses Miami mascot of hitting on her during game

A Syracuse football reporter is claiming the football game wasn’t the only one the Miami mascot was worried about on the sidelines.

Ashley Wenskoski, a sports anchor and reporter for CNY Central, called out the Hurricanes’ mascot, Sebastian, for hitting on her during the Orange’s 42-38 upset win at the Carrier Dome on Saturday.

The mascot didn’t have much luck either and got publicly outed in the process.

“Sebastian the Ibis just kneeled down and asked for my number mid-drive Feels like he has bigger things to worry about with his team on the ropes in the 4th quarter at the Dome…but who am I to say,” Wenskokski wrote on X.

Fans jumped to her defense, while taking some shots at Miami in the process.

“For real or was he playing?! Miami could not maintain discipline across the board it seems!,” X user @TKonBirdApp wrote.

Added: “He was yukking it up with Michael Irvin too…very talkative today”

“Another L for Miami on the day,” @MikeAsti11 chimed in.

Sebastian’s L with Wenskoski – who is also a Syracuse alum – wasn’t as big as Miami’s as the loss kept them out of the ACC Championship game in favor of Clemson and could put them in danger of missing the College Football Playoff.

Syracuse got 380 yards passing and three touchdowns from quarterback Kyle McCord to improve to 9-3 after finishing 2-6 last season.

The win moved them into the Top 25 in both polls and as high as No. 23 in the AP poll.
