Kardashians’, Jenners’ craziest splurges, from $750K gold toilets to a $150M private jet
When it comes to the lifestyles of the rich and famous, the Kardashian and Jenner clan are some of the richest of them all.
The “Kardashians” stars, who returned to Hulu for Season 4 of their reality show on Thursday, are synonymous with fancy planes and automobiles and designer everything.
Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are both self-made billionaires — although the “self-made” label is debatable to many — so they, as well as the still super-rich Kris and Kendall Jenner, and Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, spend money like the wealthy businesswomen they are.
A new study recently found that normal Gen Z folk even take money tips from Kendall and Kylie. While they might not be in the same tax bracket as the everyday woman, their influence on the masses remains superior — for better or for worse.
Sorry to break the news, but the biggest splurges in this article will probably never be within reach of the average person. For now, our only choice is to keep up with the Kardashians’ most outrageous purchases.
Kim Kardashian’s private plane
Price: $150 million
Kim Kardashian bought a custom G650ER aircraft and named it Kim Air in 2021.
However, it would take another year to customize the private jet to her lavish taste. Enhancements included a cream-colored interior, cashmere finishes and leather seats — the same design scheme as her monochromatic home.
The final price tag for the purchase put the billionaire back about $150 million.
All passengers are given a pair of SKIMS slippers and pajamas when they board Kim Air. The nice gesture also doubles as a way for Kardashian to enforce strict rules in place on the aircraft, which are even in effect for family members, as seen on “The Kardashians.”
In one episode, Kardashian warned Kendall Jenner about getting her “spray tan on my cashmere seats” ahead of their trip to Milan for a Prada fashion show.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s gold toilets
Price: $750,000
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage was full of pricey purchases, but perhaps the most infamous of all was golden toilets in 2013.
The former couple spent over $750,000 on four gold-plated toilets while renovating their 9,000-square-foot $11 million Bel Air mansion — which they ended up selling in 2017 for $17.8 million.
The Bel Air project also included six special-edition beds from the company that supplies London’s Savoy Hotel, costing $174,000 each.
And what screams wealth more than a Swarovski-encrusted fridge freezer, which could be found in the pair’s kitchen that housed nearly $1 million worth of Electrolux appliances?
Kylie’s growing million-dollar handbag collection
Price: $1 million or more
Kylie Jenner faced backlash back in August 2018 when she uploaded a YouTube video showing off her designer purse collection which was estimated to cost around $1 million.
The room dedicated to the bags boasted dozens and dozens of Hermès Birkin, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Prada bags, as well as an extensive Judith Leiber collection, which Kris Jenner, Kim and Khloe Kardashian also collect.
Comments were turned off on this viral video as fans criticized the Kylie Cosmetics billionaire for flaunting her wealth.
Jenner faced the same slander this June when she showed fans the nearly $300,000 Faubourg Birkin she received for her 25th birthday.
Although Jenner quickly deleted the video for unknown reasons, we can only imagine that her handbag collection has grown since then.
Kris’s Louis Vuitton Music Box
Price: $3,650
Kris Jenner famously gets 10% of her daughters’ business ventures but also pours lots of money back into gifts for her children and grandchildren.
One of the most notorious presents Jenner spoiled her grandchildren with was a Louis Vuitton music box for her Chicago West’s first birthday.
The music box retails for $3,650 and is a risky gift to give to such a young child without it possibly being broken.
But hey, if you got the money, flaunt it!
Kendall Jenner’s James Turrell artwork
Price: $750,000
Supermodel Kendall Jenner has a supersized James Turrell art piece in her $8.5 million Los Angeles home — that comes with a supersized price tag.
The ovoid wall sculpture is animated by shifting, computer-programmed LED lights and set Jenner back $750,000.
“I’ve always been a huge Turrell fan,” she told Architectural Digest in 2020. “I was introduced to his work by [my brother-in-law] Kanye [West], who collaborates with him.”
“I wanted this piece to be a focal point of the house, and I’m so hyped to have it here,” she said of her pricey purchase.
Also in Kendall Jenner’s LA home is a gold bathtub that she claims to use “at least three times a week” and cost her $40,000.
Kylie Jenner’s Fendi stroller
Price: $9,990
Kylie Jenner daughter’s Stormi was born into a life of luxury in 2018, complete with a Fendi Baby Brown FF Logo Stroller worth nearly $10,000.
The then first-time mother matched the expensive carriage by wearing Fendi from head to toe in an Instagram picture that same year.
Jenner busted out the set of wheels again in 2020 for a mommy-and-me trip to Disney World.
Khloe’s Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge
Price: $500,000
The Kardashian/Jenners are no strangers to driving Rolls-Royces, but Khloe Kardashian’s 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost set her back a whopping half a million dollars, elevating her car collection to another level of luxury.
The Ghost is painted white and has a black-and-white interior, sticking with the family’s love of minimalism.
It can reportedly go from 0 to 62 mph time of just 4.8 seconds — perfect for escaping the ever-present paparazzi.
