Vallejo police and Solano County sheriff’s deputies searched for a man who allegedly shot a woman near police headquarters on June 9.

Officers traced the man to a nearby building on Georgia Street and set up a perimeter. They left without making any arrests.

In an interview Friday, Vallejo police spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis said that the case “is not a homicide” and that police have obtained a warrant for the shooting suspect. “I am glad our officers got there fast enough to render lifesaving medical aid to the victim,” he said.
