LESLIE Crocker Snyder‘s less-than-enthusiastic view of Tony Kushner‘s “Angels in America” didn’t hurt her standing within the gay community. The former judge, who’s now running for Manhattan DA, wrote in her 2002 memoir, “25 to Life,” of her “dismay” over “very realistic acts of anal sodomy on stage as well as anti-American sentiments” in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama. But 250 members of the Stonewall Democratic Club — which met Tuesday night at the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Center on West 13th Street — overwhelmingly endorsed Snyder over her Democratic opponents, Cy Vance Jr. and Richard Aborn. State Assemblyman Micah Kellner, who is openly bisexual, said, “Leslie Crocker Snyder has a 30-year history of supporting the LGBT community.” As an assistant DA, Snyder refused to prosecute sodomy cases against consenting homosexuals, Kellner said.
