Sometimes when an American movie is publicized in a foreign market, the title is changed to reflect the sensibilities of that nation. For example, “As Good As It Gets” was called “A Romance Novel Writer” in Japan. Clever, no?
Thankfully no such name swap occurred on the Italian poster (via) for Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Basterds.” In fact, the translation actually makes the movie sound cooler. I would totally be more stoked about seeing “Bastardi Senza Gloria,” wouldn’t you?
